Just… Astonishing
Having finished this game for the second time, I can confidently say that it is thoroughly enjoyable. I stormed through most of the battles in a “spray & pray” fashion so they didn’t pose an exceedingly difficult challenge; however, there were some instances where I was forced to switch to a more tactical and stealthy approach beacuse I kept failing as I attempted to continue with the story which, despite being a bit far-fetched, is surprisingly captivating. It’s important to note that this entire game hinges on the plot and consequently offers little more after its conclusion. I went back to search for all the idols and to complete the challanges simply because I had trouble believing that the game really was over, but it was more annoying than fun. Nevertheless, it gave me a chance to explore all the sections of the island more carefully. I would have loved to see even more, but the areas I could visit offered pleanty.
Regardless, I’d say that this game is definetly worth playing - it offers intelligent enemies who you can battle in different styles with a variety of weapons, a stimulating plot with some humor and history and several puzzling scenarios which require some thinking, but don’t worry, it won’t hurt. To top it all off, the graphics are beautiful and incredibly immersive… I really can’t describe it otherwise. Perhaps the only element of this game which impressed me even more was the characters. I grew to detest some and became attached to others only to lose them and feel incomplete therafter; I eagerly await the continuation of their story.
